01. Welcome to Kosmetics by Kathleen
My name is Kathleen, and I’m the artist behind Kosmetics, offering wedding and special-occasion makeup across the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire (and beyond!).
Whether you’re a bride-to-be, prepping for a photoshoot, or simply someone who loves all things beauty, I’m so grateful you’re here. Kosmetics was created with one purpose in mind:
to help every client feel confident, radiant, and authentically themselves.
This blog is where I’ll share beauty tips, bridal prep guides, behind-the-scenes moments, product recommendations, and stories from the incredible clients I get to work with. I can’t wait for you to follow along.
02. Why I Started Kosmetics
Before esthetics school, makeup was already a part of my world. I was always experimenting — blending colors, learning techniques, and discovering how a little artistry could completely change the way someone feels. I knew cosmetology was in my future, but I quickly realized one thing: I didn’t enjoy doing hair. What I did love was the skin, the artistry, and the confidence that makeup brings out in people.
That path led me straight into esthetic school, where everything clicked. I fell in love with beauty on a deeper level — the technique, the creativity, the science, and the way makeup could enhance someone’s natural features without hiding who they are.
Over the years, I’ve learned that makeup isn’t just about products — it’s about connection. It’s about listening, understanding your vision, and helping you feel like the most confident version of yourself. It’s so much more than makeup — it’s skin-deep, heartfelt work.
Whether I’m getting a bride ready for the biggest day of her life or helping someone shine in front of a camera, my goal is always the same: to enhance, not mask — and to celebrate exactly who you are.

As Kosmetics continues to grow both in person and virtually, this blog will be a space where I can share everything I’ve learned — the artistry, the experience, and the moments that make this work so meaningful. My goal is to give you helpful, honest insight into the beauty world while keeping things real, simple, and true to who I am.
